New research has found that Tesco is a significant employer in Kerry, supporting over 270 jobs in its four stores.
Independent research, carried out by Indecon International Economic Consultants, examined Tesco’s impact in the county.
The analysis found that the overall economic impact of Tesco’s expenditure in Ireland is €2.92 billion, and the company supports almost 45,000 jobs, directly and indirectly around Ireland.
In Kerry since 2014, Tesco’s Community Fund has donated €141,000 to 552 local community projects.
Meanwhile, the meals donated by Tesco since 2014 has reached 236,000, supporting 24 charities in Kerry.
