Ten jobs are being created with the opening of Killarney's first refill store.

The Going Green shop and café on Beech Road is being run as part of an environmental initiative by Killarney Immigrant Support Services (KASI).

KASI works to promote integration in Killarney and supports asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants.

The group already runs a community garden in Ballycasheen and has a school lunch programme.

Coordinator of KASI, Marilyn Catapat-Counihan, says the new shop allows consumers to buy what they need and helps to reduce waste and packaging:
