A Kerry TD spent Saturday morning filling potholes on a local road.
Deputy Government Chief Whip and Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin told the Dáil he was filling potholes on a road near his home last weekend.
He says 800 roads in Kerry are on the Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) and is calling for increased funding to be allocated to local authorities to help clear this list.

In response, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar says the Local Improvement Scheme is an essential one for rural Ireland.
He says funding for it has increased by 5% this year.
