The Taoiseach believes Fianna Fáil can win two seats in Kerry at the next general election.
In 2016, John Brassil from Ballyheigue and Norma Moriarty of Waterville ran for the party in Kerry, with the former being elected.
These two candidates ran again in 2020 along with Tralee’s Norma Foley who was elected to the Dáil, with John Brassil losing his seat.
It’s been suggested by some it was a mistake not to run Killarney candidates in these last two elections.
Speaking during a visit to Killarney, Micheál Martin said it’s his belief Fianna Fáil can win two seats in Kerry in the next general election.
