Status yellow thunderstorm warning issued for Kerry

A status yellow thunderstorm and rain warning is in effect for Kerry, Connacht and eighteen other counties.

The warning will remain in place until 11 o'clock tonight.

Met Éireann says the affected areas will see heavy downpours, gusty winds, and a chance of hail.

There's also a possibility of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
