South Kerry’s May the 4th festival get's underway today.
The festival celebrates the connection between Kerry and the world-renowned Star Wars franchise; part of the franchise was filmed on the Skellig Islands.
This year sees the launch of the inaugural May the 4th Sci-fi film festival; showcasing independent science fiction films from across the globe.

It takes place in Portmagee and across the Skellig Coast until Saturday.
