The South Kerry Gaeltacht of Uíbh Ráthach is marketing the area to potential new residents, hoping for relocations rather than staycations.
The interagency taskforce was set up to help the regeneration of the Gaeltacht, and is hoping to attract new prospective residents.
To help with this, Údarás na Gaeltachta recently invited marketing organisations to develop a bespoke marketing and communications plan to encourage individuals and families to settle in the Uíbh Ráthach Gaeltacht in South Kerry.
The aim of the initiative is to engage with, inform and actively encourage people, families and businesses to choose to live, work and do business in this Gaeltacht community, in line with the Tascfhórsa Uíbh Ráthaigh Action Plan 2019 to 2022.
It’s hoped 10 new families will move to the area over a three-year period.
