Seven new teaching posts to be created with expansion of Tralee grinds school

Seven new teaching jobs are set to be created in Tralee.

Scotia Academy, which has been operating as a grinds school, is set to expand to cater for fulltime Leaving Certificate students.

The development follows the sudden closure of Brookfield College in Monavalley, Tralee last week.

A spokesperson for Scotia Academy says they will do their best to accommodate students.

An open evening is being held in their premises in Moyderwell next Tuesday from 6 to 9pm; advance booking is essential to ensure COVID-19 social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
