A serious road incident has occurred outside Waterville on the Caherdaniel side.
Limerick Fire Control says two units have been tasked to the scene, following reports of the collision shortly after 3:20 this afternoon.
The incident, which occurred on the N70 Ring of Kerry Road, is understood to have involved a car and a motorcycle.
Injuries are unknown at this stage.
Emergency services are arriving at the scene and gardaí are asking motorists to avoid the area for the next number of hours.

Gardaí have given the exact location of the road traffic collision in South Kerry, so motorists can avoid the area.
It’s occurred at Coomakista, three miles beyond Hog’s Head golf course on the N70.
It’s best to turn around before Waterville and Sneem, if travelling on the Ring of Kerry.
The road will be closed for a number of hours.
