Serious injuries are being reported following a road traffic collision in Waterville.
An incident, believed to have involved a car and a motorbike, occurred around 3:30 this afternoon.
Gardaí say the road traffic collision occurred in Waterville this afternoon.
It’s understood the incident occurred near Dooley’s in the village.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí and emergency services are the scene.
They say serious injuries are being reported, with one of those involved due to be airlifted shortly to hospital.
Three fire units, from Cahersiveen and Killorglin, are also at the scene.
They were tasked at 3:45 this afternoon.
Gardaí are asking people to avoid the area as the road is expected to be closed for a number of hours.
