Ryanair is taking over the Kerry-Dublin flight from July 19th.
Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan, TD has announced that Ryanair will operate the route.
It follows the collapse of Stobart Air last month; the airline had operated the Public Service Obligation routes in Kerry and Donegal on behalf of Aer Lingus Regional.
An emergency procurement process to restore the PSO was launched on June 21st with a preferred bidder selected for the Donegal-Dublin PSO route.
Minister Ryan says Ryanair is to operate the Kerry-Dublin flight for the next seven months and beyond.
He said the airline has indicated it will operate the route on a commercial basis without the need for Government funding.
