The preferred route for a major Kerry road project will be published next week.
Kerry County Council, which has developed a route for the N70 Milltown Bypass, is inviting the public to attend an online webinar, where the route will be revealed.
The preferred route for the €7 million bypass to the west of Milltown has been developed in partnership with Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
This follows a period of public consultation on an initial ten route options, which was first published in 2018.
The council says that, as well as reducing travel times on the N70 road, the new 1.6km bypass will ease traffic flow through Milltown, which over the past decade has been the fastest growing town in Kerry.
The proposed new road also incorporates walking and cycling facilities.
The preferred route option will be outlined during a webinar, which will take place on Friday, February 5th at 2.00pm.
The public must register in advance on kerrycoco.ie.
The council says, while the presentation to take place online, the project team can be contacted on 066 714 2444 and at [email protected].
