The Road Safety Authority says the increase in deaths on Kerry's roads is worrying.
So far this year, ten people have lost their lives on the county's roads, which exceed the total for all of 2019.
The RSA says the expected reduction in road deaths due to lockdown didn't materialise and since the easing of restrictions fatalities are running above average.

Meanwhile, the Road Safety Authority says many people over 70 whose driver's licence needs to be renewed will be exempt from needing medical certification until the end of the year.
The National Driver Licence Service has a series of extensions available to drivers whose licenses need to be renewed; this is to take pressure off the system.
