A child has been airlifted to hospital in Dublin following a collision in Listowel.
Bridge Road in the town has been closed to traffic following a serious accident this evening.
A pedestrian - understood to be a child - was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency services attended the scene and the Irish Community Air Ambulance was involved in the child's transfer to hospital in Dublin.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area as the road will likely be closed for the night, and diversions are in place.
