The committee behind the Ring of Kerry charity cycle has organised a new cycling event for this year.
The replacement event is called 170k My Way and it will raise funds for a variety of charities.
In February the Ring of Kerry organising committee made the decision to cancel this year's event due to uncertainty around public health guidelines this summer.
However, a replacement event will take place between June 3rd and July 3rd; June 3rd is World Cycling Day and July 3rd would have been the date for this year's Ring of Kerry cycle.
The committee is asking people to register to cycle 170km - the length of the Ring of Kerry cycle - and you can do it at your own pace, be it over the month, in a single day or over a week.
Registration opens on May 1st and can be done on the ringofkerrycycle.ie.
The proceeds of the event will be donated to Ard Chúram, Listowel; Down Syndrome Kerry, St Francis' Special School, Beaufort; Cúnamh Iveragh, Breakthrough Cancer Research, Banna Sea and Rescue, the Irish Heart Foundation, and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
