All residents over 65 and staff at a Killarney mental health facility were vaccinated in recent days.
Last week, concerns were raised for staff and residents in Deer Lodge in Killarney, who were awaiting information on when they’d be vaccinated.
At the time, residents in nursing homes and many healthcare staff in Kerry had already received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Fine Gael TD and Deputy Government Chief Whip Brendan Griffin says that staff and residents over 65 in Deer Lodge were vaccinated in recent days.
The centre caters for 40 residents in need of long-term psychiatric care.
