Research centre based in MTU secures €700,000 for new equipment

A research centre based at the Munster Technological University has secured €700,000 in funding for new equipment.

Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre is a research centre and technology gateway based in Limerick Institute of Technology and the Munster Technological University.

It has secured funding to purchase equipment to help support research and development activities.

The equipment to be purchased includes a sample preparation and extraction suite, an environmental monitoring suite, and photosynthetic growth chambers.
