It’s being reported that Kerry Co-op has made a formal decision to move forward with a proposal to buy a majority stake in Kerry Group’s dairy business.
The Farming Independent says the deal would include Kerry Group’s facilities in Listowel, Farranfore, Newmarket, Charleville and in west Yorkshire, UK.
The paper says it is expected the proposal could now move to due diligence.
A spokesperson for Kerry Co-op told Radio Kerry News it will not be commenting on any speculation but can confirm discussions with Kerry Group regarding the leading milk price are ongoing.
