Kerry County Council has placed 'Prior Warning' notices at ten beaches.
It is due to the yellow weather warning issued by Met Eireann, which is forecasting intense and potentially thundery downpours today and overnight.
The notice does not prohibit bathing but advises the public that water quality may be impacted by the adverse weather.
They have been placed at Ballybunion North and South, Ballyheigue, Banna, Fenit, Maharabeg, Ventry, Kells, Cuas Crom and White Strand in Caherciveen.
