The price of a three-bed semi detached house in Kerry is expected to increase by 5% this year.
That's according to the Real Estate Alliance Average House Price Index for the last quarter of 2020.
House prices in Kerry held steady in the last quarter, with three-bed semi-detached homes costing an average of €226,000, up €1,000 on December 2019.
Demand for houses in the county remains strong and the time it takes to sell a property has remained steady at six weeks.
In Killarney, the price of a three-bed semi-detached house has remained steady at €270,000 throughout 2020 with time taken to sell unchanged at eight weeks.
Prices increased slightly in Tralee from €180,000 in December 2019 to €182,000 by Quarter 4 2020, an increase of just over 1%, with time taken to sell unchanged at five weeks.
Both Donal Culloty of REA Coyne and Culloty, Killarney and Eddie Barrett of REA North's Tralee pointed to the lack of supply; due to COVID-19 people are reluctant to place properties on the market.
