Assurances for the future of St Mary of the Angels were given by the Minister of State with responsibility for disability, Anne Rabbitte, at a meeting yesterday.
Representatives from St Mary of the Angels met Minister Rabbitte along with officials from the Department of Health to outline their concerns for the future of the facility.
The meeting was organised and attended by the Minister for Education, Norma Foley, and Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin.
There have been fears for the future the Beaufort facility, after it emerged that the current service provider, St John of God Community Services, may have to sell off its assets and properties to meet its debts.
Minister Foley said it was a very positive meeting.
