Plans to extend UHK operating theatres department

The HSE is proposing to expand the operating theatres department at University Hospital Kerry.

The executive has lodged a planning application with Kerry County Council to enhance the department by building a new single storey extension on the adjacent roof area.

The application also includes a new three storey block to accommodate new plant rooms.

The new development will be accessed through the existing department.

A decision is due from planners by June 23rd.
