The people of Kerry are being urged to conserve water this summer.
Irish Water, in partnership with Kerry County Council, is asking people to help ensure a consistent supply of water for all by conserving where possible.
It's advising people to make small changes, like taking shorter showers, avoid using paddling pools, and to use a rose head watering can instead of a hose in the garden.
Tom Cuddy, Irish Water's Head of Asset Operations, says this applies especially to tourist hotspots in popular coastal regions, such as Kerry, where large influxes of visitors are expected this summer.
He adds safeguarding the water supply is essential at this time when handwashing and hygiene are of critical importance.
