Parts of Kerry are still without water following the break in the Kerry Central Regional Water Supply Scheme on Tuesday.
Water still hasn't to returned to parts of Firies, Ballyfinnane and Farmer's Bridge.
The pipe was repaired in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
However, Irish Water says as the geographical area impacted by the burst is very large, the return of normal water supply to all areas is taking time due to the complex nature of the water supply network.
Independent councillor Brendan Cronin says the council is taking measures to ensure people aren't without water:
Irish Water is appealing to people to conserve water where possible and says night-time restrictions may be needed in some locations over the coming days.
Alternative water supplies (mobile water tankers) will remain in place today at the following locations:
Tralee | O’Donnell’s Bar Mounthawk, Brandon Car Park |
Killarney | Rock Road Car Park |
Gurrane/Firies |
