The number of parking fines issued by Kerry County Council during the pandemic was less than half compared to the previous 13 months.
Between March 1st 2020 and April 30th this year, 7,787 parking fines were issued in the county.
The council says from March 1st 2019 and March 31st 2020, 16,482 parking fines were handed out.

A spokesperson for the local authority said traffic wardens were stood down during the period from 28 March to 18 May 2020 as non-essential workers and in line with public health guidelines.
