Gardaí gave out over 460 fines relating to COVID-19 legislation in Kerry over the past year.
This is according to the Policing Authority's report on policing performance during the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Policing Authority says the level of enforcement activity has continued to fall in line with the easing of restrictions, and the policing focus is shifting to managing the reopening of society.
In the Kerry Garda Division, 464 fines relating to COVID-19 legislation have been given out; nationally, most were given out between January and May of this year.
The vast majority of COVID-19 related fines were for movement of persons, leaving home without reasonable excuse and organising and attending events in homes.
The policing report also says gardaí nationally were spat at or coughed on over 350 times since the pandemic began.
