Over 4,100 dog licences issued in Kerry during first quarter of the year.

Over 4,100 (4,145) dog licences were issued in Kerry during the first quarter of the year.

Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show that 11 fines relating to dogs were issued during the same period.

The council also rehomed 26 dogs between January and March this year.

Overall last year, more than 15,000 (15,692) dog licences were issued, and 155 dogs were rehomed by the council.
