Over 1,200 (1,227) deaths were recorded in Kerry in 2021.
That’s according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office.
The report shows that the most deaths recorded that year were in the Tralee Local Electoral Area, at 309.

Over 250 (253) deaths were registered in the Listowel LEA, 210 in the Kenmare area, 193 in the Killarney LEA, and 150 in Castleisland.
The stats show that Corca Dhuibhne was the area with the lowest deaths recorded in 2021, at 112.
