The number of people in Kerry claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment has fallen by almost 900 in one week.
That's according to data from the Department of Social Protection.
The Department says the numbers on the payment now are at their lowest level since the pandemic began.
This week, just over 5,200 people in Kerry are in receipt of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
That's a decrease of 899 in the space of one week, with the return of indoor hospitality thought to have had a significant impact on that figure.
This week's figure for Kerry also represents a 76% drop from the first week in May, when the number of people claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment was at its peak.
24 more people in Kerry have claimed the Enhanced Illness Benefit due to having COVID-19 or needing to self-isolate in the last week.
The total number of people who have claimed this benefit in the county is now 3,488.
