A new STEM/Agri-Tech building is to be constructed in Tralee.
Minister for Education Norma Foley has confirmed the department's plans for this new facility, which will be built at the Institute of Technology Tralee's North Campus.
The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science is to construct a new 9,000 square metre building to accommodate the STEM School of IT Tralee, including agri-tech facilities.
It's part of a wider announcement which includes extensions for 11 educational institutions nationally, to create space for 8,000 additional students.
The project is being delivered under Project Ireland 2040 and will immediately go to tender.
