New car sales in Kerry up almost 7% this year

New car sales in Kerry are up almost 7% so far this year.

New figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show 1231 new cars have been registered in Kerry up to the end of April this year.

That's 78 more than the same period last year, which is an increase of almost 7%.

New car sales in Kerry made up just over 2% of national registrations.

Nationally, new car sales have picked up and are 10% higher than this time last year, but are still almost 25% down on 2019 sales.
