New cameras have been placed along the N22 Farranfore-Killarney road to measure traffic volumes.
They are part of the survey and assessment process in developing the new Killarney to Farranfore route.
A spokesperson for Kerry County Council says they are in place to record traffic volumes on the N22 and other roads in the vicinity.
