A new airline route between Farranfore and Dublin starts today (1:35pm).
Following the collapse of Stobart Air in June, Ryanair agreed to take on the former public service obligation route between the airports on a commercial basis. Stobart Air’s four-year PSO contract was due to expire in February of next year.
From today, Ryanair is operating a once-daily service, which will increase to twice-daily from September 1st. Government TD Brendan Griffin previously said he's been assured the Kerry-Dublin PSO will be re-introduced if the commercial operation of the route fails.
