Nearly two-thirds of Kerry people are staying within 10 kilometres of their homes.

This is according to the Central Statistics Office, which has compiled information from Three Ireland network users over the past number of months.

The CSO says the percentage of people staying within 10 kilometres of their homes is impacted by the level of urbanisation and access to services, along with individual choice.

In the week up to March 26th, 57% of people in Kerry stayed with 10 kilometres of their homes.

This is below the state average of 65%.

The scope of the arrangement between Three Ireland and the Department of Health is limited to informing the Government response to the COVID-19 pandemic only. This data feeds into wider selection of data used as part of the COVID-19 response.
