Detailed planning is ongoing ahead of on-site teaching recommencing this academic year at the Munster Technological University.
A statement on behalf of the presidents of MTU and Institutes of Technology has welcomed the confirmation from government that there will be a signficiant increase in on-site further education, training and research from September.
However, they say the health and safety of students and staff will be at the heart of how they are planning the 2021/22 academic year.

It adds that the return to on-campus activities will be done within public health guidelines and be subject to ongoing review.
