The president of Munster Technological University says she’s really looking forward to welcoming students to the first Kerry university this September.
Professor Maggie Cusack said MTU is planning an on-campus experience, but some blended learning will continue.
The university president said there will be no competition between the Cork and Kerry campuses for resources, staff, or student numbers.
Professor Cusack said MTU will be competing at a European level for research funding and there will be a focus on working with companies so that graduates are work ready.
She said the blended learning model being offered is a step change and is in line with student feedback.
