A new tool has been launched to prevent people being scammed on Black Friday.
CheckMyLink, which was developed by Munster Technological University, will allow consumers make sure that somewhere is a safe place to shop.
Gardaí say hackers use contaminated links frequently around Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Around 4 billion euro will be spent this month in the lead up to Christmas.
