Asylum seekers who've gone on hunger strike in Cahersiveen say they want to meet Government ministers to discuss their situation.
Thirty-two residents in the temporary direct provision centre say they'll refuse food until they're moved out of the accommodation.
They say they've been traumatised by their experience in the former Skellig Star hotel.
The Department of Justice ordered a review after over 100 people living in various accommodation centres in Dublin were transported to the Cahersiveen facility on just one bus last March.
There was an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Skellig Star direct provision centre and residents say the building is too small and not fit for purpose.
While some people were moved to other centres following the outbreak, resident Trish claims others left and are homeless because they prefer to be on the street.
Trish says she and other residents want a meeting with Integration Minister Roderic O'Gorman and the Justice Minister Helen McEntee.
She says they want to live in centres that are more family-friendly and which allow them cook for themselves.
