Mediation in a legal case taken by a Kerry woman who passed away from cervical cancer last Friday is resuming today.
73-year-old Joan Lucey from Cooleen, Dingle was laid to rest yesterday.
The retired nurse had brought a case against the HSE, Clinical Pathology Laboratories Incorporated, and MedLab Pathology Ltd over alleged misreading or misinterpretation or misreporting of her cervical smears taken in February and August 2011.
On two occasions prior to her death, her legal team pleaded in the High Court for mediation talks to take place; they had been due to begin over the weekend.
A spokesperson for the late Mrs Lucey's legal team told Radio Kerry News mediation is set to recommence today.
