The Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council is urging everyone, including visitors to the county, to have respect for locals and the environment in the coming months.
Cllr Patrick O'Connor Scarteen says lessons have been learned from last year and the county is better prepared for the expected crowds this summer.
Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Patrick O'Connor Scarteen says a comprehensive plan developed by the council, Gardaí and businesses will allow for better communication between the different agencies in the coming months.
He has made this appeal to everyone as the county gears up for a busy tourist season:
Meanwhile, there will be strong inter-agency communication in Killarney over the summer, as the economy and society continue to reopen.
This is according to Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District Cllr Brendan Cronin, who was speaking after he and council management met with An Garda Síochána, the Kerry branch of the Irish Hotels Federation, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, and the Killarney Vintners yesterday.
He says there'll be regular communication between all parties, in an effort to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer.
