Man in his 70s airlifted from Torc this afternoon

A man in his 70s has been airlifted to hospital from Torc this afternoon.

The man suffered cardiac trouble and the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team attended the scene.

The Rescue 115 helicopter was called and airlifted the man to Cork Airport, and he was subsequently brought by ambulance to Cork University Hospital for further examination.

The man is not believed to be in a serious condition.
