A man has been arrested and charged following a burglary in North Kerry.
The incident took place in Listowel last January and Gardaí arrested a man on Saturday as part of their investigation.
On the morning of January 14th, Gardaí responded to a burglary at a house in Lartigue Village.
An oil burner, which was attached to the rear of the property, was cut from the wall and taken during the incident.
Listowel Gardaí carried out house-to-house enquiries and gathered CCTV from the area; as a result, a car and a possible suspect were identified.
Gardaí were unable to locate this man at the time, as he was believed to have left the jurisdiction.
On Saturday, Gardaí from Listowel were on patrol when they came across the man, aged in his 30s, who is believed to have been involved in the incident.
He was detained at Listowel Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged.
