A man has been charged following a burglary at a farmyard in mid-Kerry.
A second man is still being sought by Gardaí in connection with the incident.
Around midday yesterday, a farmer arrived home to his yard in Milltown to find two men loading farm machinery, taken from a shed, into their car.
The pair abandoned their car and took off on foot.
Killorglin Gardaí responded immediately and patrolled the area.
One of the men, aged in his 30s, was arrested a short distance from the farmyard; the second man is still being looked for by Gardaí.
The car has been seized for a technical examination.
The man who was arrested was brought to Killarney Garda Station where he was charged; he will appear before the courts at a later date.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Milltown area between midday and 1.30pm yesterday and may have witnessed anything to contact them in Killarney on 064 6671160.
They are particularly interested in the movements of a blue Nissan.
