A man has been airlifted to University Hospital Kerry following an accident on a French fishing boat.
The man suffered an open fracture following an incident with a pully on board the boat, which was just west of the Blasket Islands.
The incident occurred yesterday, and Valentia Coast Guard were notified of the seriousness of the injury last night, but could not carry out a rescue until this morning due to thick fog.
