A major event focusing on fishing is being held in Killarney.
The European Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Advisory Commission Symposium is taking place at the Dromhall Hotel today and tomorrow.
It’s being hosted by Inland Fisheries Ireland and the Department of Environment, Climate, and Communications in association with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
There’ll be a series of talks by national and international speakers on topics including inland fish stock assessment, developments in freshwater fish monitoring, and climate change.
The formal sessions for the Commission delegates will open on Wednesday, and will examine fisheries policy on a European level.
