SouthDoc says that Listowel GPs who are involved with the out-of-hours GP service will continue to work from the service's Tralee base for the present.
SouthDoc's Listowel centre was one of four bases that closed on March 13th as part of a consolidation of services in the county in response to the pandemic.
The Kenmare SouthDoc centre recently reopened.
North Kerry GPs, who are involved with SouthDoc, continued their role with the out-of-hours service during lockdown.
SouthDoc says that in the interests of patient safety and the maintenance of doctor availability, Listowel GPs, involved with the service, are continuing their work out of the Tralee Treatment Centre.
This allows any doctors in Listowel and Tralee who need to cocoon to be able to continue to provide patient care.
