Families whose children received inappropriate mental health care in south Kerry could launch legal action as soon as next month. A review's found "significant harm" to 46 children due to the medication prescribed by a junior doctor.
The head of the HSE says affected families shouldn't have to go through the courts to get compensation. Keith Rolls, solicitor at Coleman Legal which represents over 100 families, says they plan to launch legal proceedings shortly:
