A Killorglin woman is calling for temporary changes to be made to a road outside the town, while locals wait for substantial improvements.
Fiola Foley lives around a kilometre outside the town along the N72 in a 28-house development.
She says there's no hard shoulder on the road, the edge is full of leaves, and the speed limit of 80 km/h is too high.
She posted a video on Twitter highlighting the situation for pedestrians.
Kerry County Council says it's developing plans for improvements on the N72 between Killorglin and Anglont, with a hope to gain statutory consent by 2022.
Ms Foley says local residents are delighted improvements are being planned, however, she says cost effective changes can be made now.
