Killarney farm sells at auction for over €1.5 million

A farm in Killarney has sold at auction for over €1.5 million.

The almost 73-acre residential farm at Coolcorcoran was part of the estate of the late John O'Connor.

It was sold at auction by auctioneer Tom Spillane at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney.

Bidding began at €700,000, with four bidders involved.

Following 16 bids, the hammer came down at €1,550,000, which is over €21,000 per acre.
