Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce says it fully supports the council’s Safe Streets, Safe Town, Safe County campaign.
Kerry County Council implemented this campaign to ensure proper social distancing measures are in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, which the chamber says worked really well.
The Killarney chamber says Plunkett Street, from its junction with Main Street to College Square, and the slip road at Kenmare Place will remain closed to traffic until October 31st; alternative routes will be available.
Killarney chamber president, councillor Niall Kelleher says the impact of these closures are subject to further review and in the meantime, the Chamber fully supports the Safe Streets project.
